A/Prof Julia Lappin
MB ChB, MSc(CogSci), MRCPsych, PhD, FRANZCP
Julia Lappin is a NeuRA Quest Scholar, Associate Professor at UNSW's Discipline of Psychiatry and Mental Health, and a Clinical Academic Psychiatrist at Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney. She led the development of the NSW Tertiary Referral Service for Psychosis and served as its inaugural Clinical Director for five years. Julia has a broad range of interests across research and clinical practice, with a focus on improving outcomes in mental health disorders and optimising brain health, particularly cognitive and mental health, throughout life.
A/Prof Emma Devenney
Cognitive Neurologist
Emma Devenney is a neurologist, NHMRC Emerging Leader Fellow, and Conjoint Associate Professor at the UNSW Sydney School of Medicine and Health. She obtained her medical degree at Queen's University, Belfast, and completed her neurology training at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast, and a Neuroimmunology fellowship at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney. Emma is currently the Principal Investigator on the DIAN study (Dominantly Inherited Alzheimer Network), an international study of familial Alzheimer's disease, and leads research into biomarkers for the detection and monitoring of neurodegenerative diseases.
Kristi Lord
BPsych, MPsychol — Clinical Neuropsychologist Registrar
Kristi is a Registered Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychology Registrar with a strong interest in adult neuropsychology, brain health, and the early detection of cognitive change. She completed her postgraduate training in Clinical Neuropsychology at Macquarie University and works with adults experiencing concerns related to memory, attention, thinking, and everyday cognitive functioning, including subjective cognitive decline, perimenopause and cognition, and neurodegenerative conditions.
Emily Kerameas
Research Assistant, DIAN-TU Study Coordinator
Emily is a Research Assistant to A/Prof Emma Devenney at NeuRA. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience at UNSW, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology at the University of Technology Sydney. Emily jointly coordinates clinical trials within the Dominantly Inherited Alzheimer Network (DIAN) unit, facilitating the clinical and logistical aspects of trial delivery and data collection.
